squad partners with MAC to launch their Inclusive Complexion Edit
The Squad are very excited to announce our first ever diverse makeup collaboration with MAC Cosmetics and Spotlight UK with a focus on deep and darker skin tones to introduce better access for actors within the entertainment industry. The Inclusive Complexion Edit by MAC Cosmetics cover the whole range of skin tones and allows makeup artists from beginners to experts to create complete looks for all skin tones.
Special discounts for the kits will be offered to all industry representatives for a limited time. From foundations and concealers to bronzers and setting powders, these products will be at a discount to make-up artists and a discount for Spotlight UK actor members.
Educational videos on how to create looks for various skin tones are now available online to support makeup artists who may not have had previous training with darker skin tones.
Actors of all skin tones will be able to go into any MAC Cosmetics store to determine their appropriate MAC shade number and will soon be able to input this information straight onto your Spotlight profile for production personnel and agents to use as reference.
We are so proud to unveil the first collaboration of its kind to once and for all solve the problem of unequal makeup provision in the UK for
non-white actors. It is our hope that the new Inclusive Complexion Edit will allow actors of all colours to receive the same high-quality treatment in the makeup chair on sets as their white counterparts and never have to show up camera ready or put up with sub-standard makeup jobs on set.
